 PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE Welcome to Clemton Park Public School. I know it will be an exciting and eventful year. Our school purpose is to provide a high quality education in a supportive environment so that each child is equipped to function and succeed in a changing and challenging world. We are committed in striving towards academic excellence for all students, preparing for technological change, fostering of school community commitment and morale, catering for individual needs by providing extension or remediation as required, striving towards students taking responsibility for their own learning and behaviour and building upon the school’s traditional strengths in discipline, student welfare, pride and parent participation. Clemton Park Public School services students from the local community and beyond. It is a P2 school, comprising of an executive staff of 1 Principal, 1 Deputy Principals and 4 Assistant Principals. Current student enrolment is over 520, 83% of whom are from Non English Speaking Backgrounds. Our school has a high reputation in the community for scholarship, sport, student behaviour and the commitment of the teaching and ancillary staff to the welfare and the development of the pupils. In 2008 the school comprises of 21 classes, including a 3/4 and a 5/6 composite. Specialist programs include Support Teacher Learning, English as a Second Language and a Community language program in Italian and Greek. Clemton Park’s vision is “Pursuing Excellence”. We must always remember this in all we do. I want every individual community member (students, staff and parents) to endeavour to pursue excellence at all times.
